My 25-year career at Scottsboro Electric Power Board has given me the opportunity to work in virtually all areas of Information Technology. From installing broadband connectivity in customers’ homes and businesses to being the sole person responsible for designing, configuring, implementing and maintaining multiple corporate and service provider networks, I have had the opportunity to leverage my education and abilities utilizing networking components from Adtran, Arris, Ciena, Cisco and Juniper to build and maintain reliable fiber optic voice, video and data networks with five-nines-plus availability. Aside from networking, my responsibilities have included configuring and maintaining both Open Source and Windows Active Directory servers and workstations. I also have extensive experience dealing with multiple vendors, customers and co-workers on a daily basis, providing assistance as necessary to ensure their needs and expectations are met in a prompt, timely fashion.
